Review of Future Skills for Entrepreneurship and Innovation

After an insightful marketplace with representatives and stakeholders from the startup scene, Hannes Raffaseder (CEO of the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten) guided us through the event.

In the interview with Andrew Petter, Konrad (EU program manager) talked about how universities can contribute to regional impact. He reflected on connecting with artists and the regional community when he was the president and vice-chancellor of Simon Fraser University from 2010 to 2020. They talked about how universities can engage more with the local people.

After talking about the impact of universities, they looked at how Startups will drive regional innovation. Doris Agneter (Head of tecnet equity), Claudia Falkinger (CEO of Point&) and Bettina Sax (Executive Direktor Sparkasse Niederösterreich Mitte West AG) emphasized how important the regional nature of start-ups is. At the same time, global connectivity is essential in today’s world.

In the second panel Flávia Colus (Senior Researcher, PPMI HEInnovate), Klaus Sailer (Head of Strascheg Centers for Entrepreneurship, Munich) and Melanie Hartl (Entrepreneurship Lead of EIT Health Austria GmbH) had a discussion about the European Ecoystem for Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

During this event we had the chance to look at female entrepreneurs and honor innovative projects with the E³UDRES² Award for Female Entrepreneurship. A jury decided on the winning teams on site and announced the winning teams including feedback on the submissions, acknowledging strengths and innovation while also offering insights into the potential for growth and impact.
