In this evening online event (no login account required!), you will get hands-on introductions directly from the biggest cloud companies in the world: Amazon Web Services and Microsoft.
Agenda
Which benefits do you have as students when using their cloud platforms? How can you get started with their services? You will learn how to gain free credits, benefit from online learning curricula, receive certifications, etc.
- 18:00 – 18:05: Welcome
- 18:05 – 18:20: Introduction to AWS, Melanie Nethercott (Amazon Web Services)
- 18:20 – 18:35: Introduction to Azure for Education, Marco Bestagno (Microsoft)
Afterwards, professors from the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences will present live demos of specific cloud application fields:
- 18:35 – 18:55: Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio, Alexander Adrowitzer
- 18:55 – 19:15: Amazon Sumerian for 3D Virtual & Augmented Reality Apps, Andreas Jakl
- 19:15 – 19:35: Security in the Cloud, Christoph Lang-Muhr
Target Audience
This event is designed for 1st semester students who are new to the world of software development and would like to know more about the latest industry trends; as well as for more experienced developers who want to learn more about cutting-edge cloud services.
